Injured Claudio Bravo to miss three weeks of action

Marc-Andre ter Stegen will get a rare opportunity to show what he can do as Barcelona’s number 1 whilst Claudio Bravo recovers on the sidelines.

Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was forced to leave training on Monday and after three days, the club finally confirmed the Chilean will be out indefinitely with a calf injury. “It’s an injury that will take up to three weeks to be fit 100 percent”.

“Claudio’s fine. I talked to him and he’s calm”. He’ll miss some League games but it’s best to recover well so there’s not a relapse.

“The injury was a story that everyone was anxious but for us it was all quiet because Claudio is fine”.

Can Enrique develop his treble-winning titans? It’s a muscular injury that happens without any specific reasons.

The defender does not believe that the current absences in Barcelona’s roster will affect the Catalonian lines, and highlighted that the Blaugrana had won all possible titles last season, and emphasised that they have many options to compensate for missing players.

Ter Stegen was by no means a mere bench-warmer for the Spanish champions, playing throughout the successful Champions League campaign and playing well in the final, helping his side to a 3-1 triumph against Juventus.

The 32-year-old Chile global was only initially expected to miss the crunch Liga clash with Atletico Madrid on Saturday, but now faces a longer period on the sidelines.
