Injured Manning, Ware not traveling to Chicago with the Broncos
Manning has nine TD passes to 17 interceptions.

Manning has been excused from meetings, practices and games so he can focus on recovering as the Broncos are primed for a playoff run.
In their second segment, the two talked with Mile High Report Editor-in-Chief Kyle Montgomery on whether or not he believed that the Broncos’ set Peyton Manning for failure, which Montgomery disagreed (and others at Mile High Report) with vehmently. Not when that man is Brock Osweiler, Peyton Manning’s fourth-year understudy who has a stronger arm and better mobility than the ailing 39-year-old icon. And it stands to reason, surely, that one could “focus” on a foot healing while still being able to sit in a meeting room and speak, does it not?
Brock Osweiler showed promise during his junior year at Arizona State in which he threw for over 4,000 yards, 26 touchdowns, and achieved a passer rating of 140.5. Brock Osweiler will get his first opportunity to start an National Football League game against the Chicago Bears in week 11.
Injured quarterback Peyton Manning isn’t making the trip to Chicago for Sunday’s game between the Denver Broncos and the Bears.
It’s still unknown when Manning might make his return, and it’s unclear whether he’ll accompany the team to Chicago for Sunday’s game. We want to get out there.
Manning’s explanation for not being around for Osweiler essentially amounts to Manning saying that there will be enough people offering advice, so his is not needed.
I think Kubiak is doing the right thing here in letting Osweiler take the reigns. With the way that the Bears are playing for Fox, Gase, and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, this could get ugly for the Broncos, especially if Bears quarterback Jay Cutler limits his turnovers.
Despite the speculation, head coach Gary Kubiak has said outright that Manning is the Broncos starter and that when he’s healthy he’ll have the starting job back. Not so much for the Broncos, but for the Raiders and the rest of the division. A player who exceeds expectation, by say, throwing for 12 yards on a 3rd-and-8, accrues positive NEP for that play for extending the drive. We spent a good hour together up there.
“I think that the addition of Vernon [Davis], he is still very, very fast and explosive”.
He wants to go and do everything he can for his football team … but only, apparently, on his own terms. ” … that may not actually be the case”.
Rodgers took part in full practice for the second straight day Friday, while running back Eddie Lacy was a full participant for the third straight day. He’s more mobile, has a bit better zip and precision to his passes with most important of all being that he’s steadily been developing over the past four years under one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game.
“They said you can go and sit out in the cold and just sit out there, or you can get two extra days of treatment to speed up your recovery”. Beyond being rusty as all hell, he was not a great prospect when he got drafted.
Don’t you just hate when a good story has a sad ending?

When Romo was ready to return, the Cowboys gave up on Weeden. So Indianapolis will turn to 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck, who quarterbacked the Colts in two wins earlier this season. He’s still a good quarterback. The evolving situation taking place, with the Hall of Famer getting benched for an unproven player in the midst of an otherwise highly successful season for a team with Super Bowl aspirations, could get a whole lot more interesting in the coming months.
