Injury Puts Bridgewater Out For The Season
Teddy Bridgewater suffered what sounded like an absolutely horrific leg injury in Vikings practice on Tuesday, and he’ll nearly certainly be out for the entire season with a torn ACL and a dislocated knee.

The team canceled practice after about 25 minutes and an ambulance was called.
Bridgewater dropped back to pass during a drill, planted his foot and immediately went down.
Armin Tehrany, founder of Manhattan Orthopedic Care, said the non-contact injury that Bridgewater sustained Tuesday is generally more complicated than the usual anterior cruciate ligament tear.
“This isn’t the typical ACL fix from a non-contact injury, where all you have to worry about is making the knee stable”. The knee was placed in an air cast before he was taken to a nearby hospital.
Bridgewater crumpled on a non-contact injury in Vikings training camp, tearing his ACL and dislocating his knee. Thankfully, there was no nerve or arterial damage. “Surgical fix will be scheduled within the next few days”, Sugarman said.
“Although the recovery time will be significant, we expect Teddy to make a full recovery”, Vikings trainer Eric Sugarman said in a statement. He threw for 3,231 yards and 14 touchdowns with nine interceptions a year ago and helped lead the Vikings to their first NFC North title since 2009. Many of us are also Vikings fans and the news that Teddy Bridgewater’s knee was almost destroyed was about the worst thing imaginable for the 2016 Vikings.
“I have confidence in Shaun”, Zimmer said. “I was looking downfield”, Zimmer said.
Teddy Bridgewater reportedly suffered a gruesome leg injury during Vikings practice today. While Zimmer isn’t expected to provide reporters with any definitive answers, we can only hope for the best at this moment. “We”re going to figure out the very best way we can beat a team that we play that week. With Shaun Hill in line to be the Vikings’ starting quarterback for now, Sorensen and Joel Stave could get most of the work against the Rams on Thursday.

“The thing we have to all remember is, is that this is about the team”, Zimmer said. “We’re going to grieve today and be upset about it. We have a good football team and that’s what we’re going to do”.
