While she didn’t give a cause of death, Johanna did confirm that Scott’s passing was related to an existing heart condition.
Scott Marshall, victor of Season 4 of Spike TV’s “Ink Master”, has died.
“Everybody the last three years told me I should try out for the show”, Marshall told the Tribune last year.
According to celebrity news website TMZ, Marshall phoned his wife Saturday evening from the Roselle Tattoo Co. tattoo shop to inform her that he wasn’t feeling well enough to drive home and would instead be staying at a nearby hotel.
Paying tribute to Scott, a rep for the show said: “He was a great competitor and talented artist”.
When Scott won Ink Master in a live episode in May 2014, he nabbed $100,000 and a feature in Ink Magazine.
Marshall attended Chicago’s American Academy of Art in 1998 and got his first tattoo a year later. Ink Master is mourning the loss saying, “Rest in peace, Scott Marshall”. “You can put five traditional tattoos in a pile, and you’re going to know which one is mine in any category….I’m very competitive….They’d better bring their A game because I’m going to”.
