Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Trooper Reginal King said in a release Thursday that 45-year-old Gary Wade Rowland is charged with aiding and abetting and kidnapping in the abduction of Tammy Carpenter.
Hubbard was arrested late Wednesday in Greene County following a manhunt.
Hubbard is being held in the Bibb County Jail without bond, charged with capital murder and first-degree kidnapping. Hubbard is accused of killing her sister, 30-year-old Kandi Murphy, while seizing Carpenter on Tuesday afternoon.
State officers busted down the door of a motel room to free Carpenter and arrest Hubbard.
