“iZombie” will have additional episodes this season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, neither series has received a full-season order.

That’s not the only series getting more love at the network: hourlong musical comedy Crazy-Ex Girlfriend is getting five more episodes for a total of 18 this season. This comes after the CW ordered additional scripts before each show premiered.
iZombie, based on the DC/Vertigo series from writer Chris Roberson and artist Michael Allred, features Rose McIver as Olivia Moore, a medical student who was turned into a high-functioning zombie. The show has been one of The CW’s weakest ratings performers thus far, averaging a 0.28 same-day rating.
Insane Ex-Girlfriend heads back to the network on November 30th, with guest star Tovah Feldshuh (The Walking Dead) visiting as Rebecca’s (Rachel Bloom) mother, who decides to visit her daughter for the holidays.
In the sneak peek below, executive producer Aline Brosh McKenna previews Dr. Phil’s appearance. Ratings website TV by the Numbers evaluated both show’s future earlier this month, giving “iZombie” a strong chance of being renewed for season 3, while “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” ranked as the network’s likeliest show to be cancelled due to poor ratings, including low delayed-viewing numbers.

Insane Ex Girlfriend airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and iZombie airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, both on The CW.
