Insert joke here: Deez Nuts is running for president
However, it’s another “candidate” who is making headlines today. Running as an independent from Wallingford, Iowa; population 197, Deez Nuts has gone viral and has a large fan base.

There’s a new poll out on what North Carolina voters think about the candidates and this shouldn’t actually be that big a deal. Others making a bid for the White House include a woman named “Sara H. Paylin” and a cat named Limberbutt McCubbins.
BRIAN SNYDER/REUTERS GOP hopeful Donald Trump is leading in polls, but he faces some competition from “Deez Nuts”.
Trump also holds a commanding lead over his GOP competitors in North Carolina.
Nuts has 7% polling in his home state, while carrying 8% with his northern neighbor, Minnesota. It remains unclear if Deez Nuts is a male or a female.
The PPP showed Trump jumped from 16 percent last month to 24 percent. Jeb Bush is polling at 13 percent, Ted Cruz at ten percent, Marco Rubio at nine percent, and six percent each for Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, and Scott Walker. In a hypothetical head to head match up with Hillary Clinton, in the swing state of North Carolina, Trump leads 45-42.

Public Policy Polling, a national political polling company, found that Deez Nuts are quite highly regarded in preliminary rankings so far. 477 Democratic primary voters and 406 Republican primary voters were polled and the margin of error for the overall survey was +/-3.2%.
