Instagram adds everyday ‘Stories’ in Snapchat spin

Showing no creativity/shame in its branding, “Instagram Stories” will allow users to create slideshows separate from their main feed, which disappear after 24 hours, Digital Spy said.

Instagram explained the new “Stories” feature gives users a way to share multiple photos and videos throughout the day, without cluttering up their friends’ photo feeds.

In a revolutionary move, Instagram has also made it so the story will disappear after 24 hours.

The users on the Instagram only posts the highlights of their life on Instagram, and the application is added to the new feature “Stories” which is similar and everyday content on Snapchat. Moving backward and forward through a story can be performed with a tap. If your account is public, then your posts will be publicly visible as well, meaning that people who don’t follow you will also be able to see them.

For now, Instagram is just focused on the auto-delete feature, but when it rolls out other features Snapchat may find it hard to compete.

Here’s a snippet of how Instagram describes Stories.

Stories will match the user’s privacy settings, and users can choose to keep a Story private or share it with a wider audience.

INSTAGRAM IS TAKING a stand against abusive comments by rolling out a filter for high-profile users. However users can hide their entire Story from a specific follower or followers.

The new Memories feature was created to let people only save images, referred to as Snaps, that they send.

Instagram’s spin appears to be that they’re owned by Facebook, the 800-lb gorilla that gets what it wants.

Think of it as a livestream of photos/videos where you can add to your Stories the whole day without clogging up your friends’ Insta-feeds. Once you are in Stories mode, tap the Round button at the bottom to “take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video”.

Instagram might start looking a lot more like Snapchat, if their latest release is anything to go by.

“With Instagram Stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting”. Instagram also will provide users with detailed viewing information, saying users can “swipe up to check out who’s seen each photo and video”.
