Instagram Launch Exciting New Feature
The popular photo-sharing app Instagram has made a decision to roll out Stories, which are photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours which is pretty similar to what Snapchat offers with its Stories feature. When you post something on your story, it will go away after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in your feed.

On Tuesday, August 2, both Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and the Instagram team announced the launch of Instagram Stories. But you can say ‘what’s really awesome about a format? But rarely is the copy or clone such a direct one that even the same name is used for the feature, as Instagram has done here.
Instagram Stories will be rolled out globally to users on iOS and Android platforms over the next several week.
Back in November 2013, Facebook reportedly tried to buy nascent social media app Snapchat for billion (it now has a valuation of $20 billion), but the offer was turned down. Messenger Codes is nearly exactly the same as Snapchat’s Snapcodes.
Facebook isn’t the only big company looking at Snapchat for new ideas. If your account is private, your story will be private. WindUp is still available in Microsoft’s app store. It regularly imitates the popular messaging app. And, the photo or message will disappear depending on the time set by the sender. However, this next part is where IG Stories differs from Snapchat Stories.
Instagram just got a whole lot more like Snapchat. There’s an element of choice, and yet an elegant way of continually adding content without overwhelming your network. However, the Facebook-owned company gave the due credit to the pioneer of “Stories”.
You can find about more about Instagram’s new feature here, but if you’re a regular Snapchat user, then you’ll probably find that it’s nothing you haven’t seen before.

The Snapchat-like feature also lets people playfully drawn on or add text to images, which are presented in a slide-show style once posted.
