Everything here-24-hour disappearing media, video slideshows, augmented reality touches, the actual name-proves that Instagram cloned Snapchat. Afterwards, you can doodle on the photo/video, type phrases, or save your creation to your phone. The stories will appear as a slideshow in Your Story. Users always have the option to hide their entire story from anyone they don’t want to see it, even if that person follows them. Unlike public posts, however, there is no functionality to add reactions or comments, but you can send a direct message to the poster. Once you’ve got the latest version, your home screen will change to feature the roster of Insta stories. It seems like Facebook’s acquired photo sharing app isn’t shy about it, as evidenced by what they’re calling the new feature: Instagram Stories.
Stories can be viewed from the top bar of your home feed, which features a row of people’s profile pictures (it looks very similar to Snapchat’s stories page). Those Snaps go away after 24 hours. These bubbles are displayed through an algorithm that shows your favorite account first.
Instagram says the feature will be rolling out over the next few weeks to Android and iOS, we assume Windows 10 Mobile support will come later. Users would then be able to share their Story by clicking on the share button. How to tell there’s new Stories to be viewed?
