Insults fly once more in fraught, often crude Republican debate

“If there’s anyone who’s ever deserved to be attacked that way, it was Donald Trump”.

Rubio looked at Trump and told him he mocks everybody.

“No reasonable scenario I can imagine”, Romney said.

Rubio defended his attacks, saying it was Trump who started the insults. “A lot of people that endorse me I wouldn’t endorse for president”, he said.

When the debate shifted to actual policy, Rubio, 44, and Cruz, 45, questioned Trump’s immigration policy and his use of foreign workers at his exclusive Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The stakes are particularly high heading into March 15, when Rubio’s home state of Florida will be among a handful of states to hold GOP contests.

Republican presidential candidate, businessman Donald Trump, second from left, speaks as Sen.

The debate takes place just hours after an extraordinary intraparty back-and-forth between Romney – the Republican presidential nominee just four years ago – and the current front-runner, Trump.

To make matters more awkward, after the debate ended, Rubio’s campaign emailed a statement to reporters with the subject line “Trump Is Not Prepared To Be Commander-In-Chief”. “And he referred to my hands if they’re small, something else must be small”, Trump said, and showed them the crowd.

The Ohio governor said that Trump has yet to say or do anything that would disqualify him as the nominee.

Romney’s team is now said to be coming up with a plan to stop Trump before he snags the Republican nomination, CNN reported on Thursday.

With Trump emerging as the undisputed GOP front-runner, many party leaders and insiders insist he’s not a true conservative. “I’ll support the Republican nominee”, he said, citing the importance of keeping Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders from occupying the Oval Office.

“Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is they believe you tell it like it is”, she said. Cruz has 231, Rubio 110 and Kasich 25.
