If you play a LOT of games, it’s just not worthwhile, but if you’re more casual, then it’s a really solid option to get access to a lot great games.

“NVIDIA is pioneering the use of deep learning AI to revolutionize transportation”, said Jen-Hsun Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. Announced at CES 2017 by Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, GeForce Now will deliver full-HD 60fps gaming with low latency by connecting your computer to a GTX 1080-equipped gaming PC hosted in the cloud. Nvidia-powered cars will be able to watch which direction the driver’s head is turned, where their eyes are gazing and read their lips so the car’s AI can understand instructions even if there’s loud music playing. Nvidia is the one company with the world that has translated its history with gaming graphics into artificial intelligence. Huang launched Steam and booted up Rise of the Tomb Raider in around 20 seconds from both a Mac and a notebook PC. “Here HD Live Map already addresses that need, and by working with Nvidia, we can ensure that automakers deploying the Nvidia Drive platform can easily enable Here HD Live Map for self-driving cars”.

Games played on GeForce work with each service’s cloud save functionality, allowing users to pick up where they left off on any readily accessible computer.

But giving Nvidia the job shows how important these new technologies are and how advanced the smaller players, such as Nvidia, are over the likes of Intel.

Nvidia and Google have collaborated on Google Assistant for TV – a world first – that uses natural language processing to use the same voice-recognition tech to power Android TV through Shield. By tracking the driver’s gaze, it can also warn of another vehicle in a direction in which she is not looking. And with an upcoming update it will also support SmartThings – turning it into a smart home hub that can connect to hundreds of smart home devices.

One of the highlights of CES 2017 will be demos of an Audi Q7 piloted driving concept.
