Intel Unveils ‘Powerful’ New Skylake Processors Using GoPro Cams And Selfie Sticks

According to Intel, the latest processor is the best processor by the chipmaker, delivering enhanced performance and new immersive experiences. The new 14nm range is aimed at an extremely wide range of computing devices “from compute sticks, tablets, ultra-thin 2 in 1 detachables and convertibles, sleek Ultrabooks and clamshell notebooks to All-in-One desktop PCs, mini desktops, workstations and gaming systems”.

Almost half of the computers in use around the world today (500 million+) are between four and five years old and compared with any of them, Skylake-powered PCs will feel like a quantum leap forward.

There is also Skylake-Y, which ushers in the Core m7, m5 and m3 mobile chips for tablets, 2-in-1 systems and Intel’s Compute Stick.

In the coming months, Intel plans to deliver more than 48 processors in the 6th Gen Intel Core processor family, featuring Intel® Iris™ and Iris Pro graphics, as well as Intel Xeon E3-1500M processor family for mobile workstations and 6th Gen Intel® vPro™ processors for business and enterprises.

Describing the new “Skylake” line of Core processors as the “best ever” processors, Intel said that the processors – which will take barely half a second to start – will herald the next generation of PCs. In fact, their Skylake chip is said to be able to wake up your Windows 10 computer with your voice alone, now how about that? The company would also be integrating Speed Shift technology which improves the responsiveness of the mobile system.
