Intelligence genes come from mom, study says
But not all hope is lost for fathers, “Obviously, other genes work the opposite, are activated only if they come from the father”.

According to the article, intelligence genes are found in x chromosomes and, since women have two x’s as opposed to men’s one, it’s twice as likely to be passed down from the mother.
Furthermore, researchers believe intelligence may be a “conditioned gene.” Well it “deactivates” and will have zero impact on our brain because it’ll only “kicks in” if the intelligence genes come from the mothers.
If you’re not yet convinced, back in 1994 the Medical Research Council Social and Public Health Sciences Unit in the United States conducted a study on mothers. Their questions focused on the children’s IQ, race, education and socio-economic status. This means that the remaining percentage depends on environment and stimulation. Basically, if you (or your child) have a high IQ but don’t aren’t challenging yourselves on the regular, your “intelligence will disperse”, so it’s important to work out your mind just like you would any other part of your body!
So, what is the best predictor of intelligence?
Of course, genes are not the only thing that can determine how smart someone is, but we can’t exactly ignore this factor, either.
