The footage reveals horrifying details of hurricanes as space station flew over each of them.

This timelapse footage shows Hurricanes Lester and Madeline in the Pacific Ocean and Hurricane Gaston in the Atlantic. The Category 4 storm headed westward throughout the Pacific Ocean, producing strong 125-mph (200 km/h) winds.

“Both storms were on a track that could threaten the big island of Hawaii in the days ahead”, NASA officials said in the video description.

Hurricane Lester – also a Category 1, now located more than a thousand miles east of Hawaii – might threaten the islands by this weekend, though it may have weakened to a tropical storm by then.

“Hurricane Gaston is the latest hurricane to develop in the Atlantic and has reached its peak with gusts up to 85 to 90mph”, said independent weather forecast provider MeteoGroup.

Hermine is expected to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast or Panhandle region sometime Thursday at could be hurricane strength.

Much closer to home of the US mainland are Tropical Depression (has winds sustained at 30-38 mph) Eight and Nine.
