Today i.e. March 8, marks the 108th observance of International Women’s Day that celebrates the social, economic, and political achievements of all women across the globe. There is an overarching commitment to systematically mainstream gender perspectives into the implementation of the whole 2030 Agenda and a determination to eliminate all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls, including through engaging men and boys.

In other words, at European Union level, the more children a woman has, the more likely she is to work part-time, while the opposite is true for men, at least up to 2 children. It is flawless time to send warm wishes to all women out there, as the festival of Women’s Day is right here.
Shakti Bandhan ~ A Global Movement of Divine Feminine Energy – At this event, described as a “global gathering of sisterhood”, women will come together at the World Economic Forum in New Delhi to learn from each other and forge connections. Women, whenever given a chance or the slightest motivation, have always proven their mettle in various fields. Body shaming is the worst example of this.
“A woman was created from a man’s rib to stand beside him and be equal, not to stand behind him”. We should also respect a person’s decision not to show their body.
The current policy and regulatory framework in favor of women empowerment gives upbeat prospects. “Slut shaming” is degrading a woman based on having numerous sexual partners and “virgin shaming” is degrading women who have had none or very few. “There are enduring societal norms, perceptions and attitudes which inhibit the pace of improvement in the condition and position of Indian women in society and economy”. Sexism is something we all must shun.
