Interviews with the Pete’s Dragon Cast
However Spielberg is so accomplished at films of this nature (just see The BFG), for he always maintains a certain magical feeling without cheapening the narrative; Pete’s Dragon sadly struggles to find that winning balance. They are offering two plush figures of Elliot, the dragon. The one with sound retails for ; the one without goes for . Orphaned and left alone in the woods after his parents’ fatal vehicle crash, Pete finds Elliot, a 70ft furry fire breathing dragon that has more in common with an excited puppy than Daenerys’s unruly pets in Game of Thrones. It features a “dragon hood, ear, spiky fur, wings, Pete’s Dragon imprint and a drawstring tie”. It retails for $7.

In anticipation of the upcoming release of Pete’s Dragon, Walt Disney Studios partnered with WETA Digital, Nokia, Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand to create a unique VR/360 video experience, which IGN is exclusively debuting.
Starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence and Robert Redford, Pete’s Dragon is directed by David Lowery and produced by Jim Whitaker. “What’s so great about this “Pete’s Dragon” is that it doesn’t step on the toes of the original – it’s a very different story”, Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays park ranger Grace Meacham in this remake, told “Good Morning America”. This time around, in this non-musical version, a little boy named Pete (Oakes Fegley) loses his parents (tragically, so make sure you pack your tissues), and ends up living in a forest for years with an adorable, furry dragon he names Elliott. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.
