Dramatic video has been released of the explosion which injured 29 people in NY last night and sent people running for their lives through the street.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said investigators had ruled out a gas leak as the cause of the blast and it had been an “intentional act”.

“We smelled something, like an intense sulfur smell, and saw smoke coming out of this building”.
The Foreign Ministry said local authorities are now investigating the cause of the explosion. We’ll see what it is.
CNN, citing law enforcement sources, reported that a piece of paper with writing on it was found nearby.
West 23, which stretches through the center of the fashionable Chelsea district in Manhattan is one of New York’s busiest and most popular areas and home to the world-famous “Hotel Chelsea”, once popular with artists and musicians including Andy Warhol and is also an area home to the city’s LGBT community.
He said investigations were ongoing and it was too early to determine the motivations behind the “incident”.
And so America waits, as experts search for a terrorist motive after two bombings in and near NY – and a third that failed to detonate.
Trump made the announcement minutes after stepping off his plane during a rally at an airport hangar in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
President Barack Obama, attending a congressional dinner in Washington, “has been apprised of the explosion in New York City, the cause of which remains under investigation”, a White House official said.
Clinton was referring to a pipe bomb that exploded in a New Jersey shore town and reports of a shooting and the stabbings of eight people at a Minnesota mall.
A number of New York City subway routes were affected by the explosion, which rattled some New Yorkers and visitors on the heels of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
The law enforcement official also said the explosion appears to have come from a construction toolbox in front of a building.
Martinez, who suffered injuries to his head and leg, was feeling “pain, a little traumatized”, he said. The 26-year-old says she heard and felt a blast.
The blast came as world leaders gathered in NY for a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, heightening security concerns in the city. But boy we are living in a time – we better get very tough, folks.
But limited as information was by the early hours of Sunday, the three incidents seemed more like small-scale, homegrown operations that conceivably might have been inspired by terrorism – but with none of the sophisticated foreign-based planning and coordination that would amount to a significant statement of terror.
