Investigators Will Recommend Manslaughter Charge for Caitlyn Jenner

The Lexus veered into oncoming traffic in a southbound lane and collided head-on with a black Hummer. On February 7, Jenner was involved in a four-vehicle crash in the 26000 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Sheriff’s Detective Richard Curry told the Los Angeles Times Jenner was not speeding, but was driving at an unsafe speed for the road conditions.

TMZ reports that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. completed its investigation, finding Caitlyn in violation of the vehicular manslaughter law.

It looks like the D.A.’s office will be taking over Caitlyn Jenner’s fatal vehicle crash case.

A vehicular manslaughter investigation into the cause of the crash was opened days after, CNN reported at the time.

Jenner’s lawyer Blair Berk declined comment.

In May, Howe’s adult stepchildren said they filed a civil lawsuit against Jenner.

Police said Jenner cooperated with officers at the scene and passed a field sobriety test.

Jenner released a statement shortly after the incident occurred that reads in part: “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this awful accident”.

Jenner says she was being followed by paparazzi at the time of the crash but was not “evading” them.

Jenner’s transition has played out in public over the past several months and included a high-profile interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer last April, in which Jenner, appearing nervous at first, declared, “Yes, for all intents and purposes, I am a woman”.
