He said he thought Rosoff had arrived for an earlier shift and had been checking something in the pool when she was shocked and fell into the water.

A preliminary autopsy released Monday revealed Heritage Point Pool where Rachel Rosoff, 17, died Saturday, had an electric charge and that may have knocked the Enloe High School senior unconscious.
Deputies say Rachel Rosoff was last seen alive around 9 a.m. Saturday. I can’t get into the pool. But the caller said they felt “a shock run through me”.
According to Wake County inspection records, the pool’s electrical systems were inspected when it was built in 1979.
According to the events calendar on the community’s website, September 5 is the last day the pool is open for the rest of the year.
In that same recording, the caller said they attempted to jump in the pool after Rosoff.
Routine safety and health inspections of the pool were done most recently in April, June and July of this year, but those do not include electrical inspections. It’s unclear whether Heritage Point Pool underwent renovations in recent years.
Neighbors said the pool opens up before noon on Saturdays and usually has a lifeguard. The company has declined to comment further than a prepared statement released Monday: We are shaken by the loss of such a vibrant young life. “We are cooperating with investigators in every possible way and are hopeful that the investigation may provide an explanation for this tragedy”. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has reports of 14 deaths related to electrocutions in pools from 2003 to 2014.
Many sources could cause electricity in the water, including underwater lights, electrical cords, pumps or overhead power lines, said Alex Antoniou, chief marketing and information officer at the National Swimming Pool Foundation in Colorado.
According to Rosoff’s Facebook page, she was an employee of the Aquatic Management Group based in Raleigh.

Rosoff was a dedicated volunteer at The Food Ark, a non-profit that’s all about making sure people in need throughout the Triangle don’t go hungry. Friends returning to school from the long Labor Day weekend placed flowers and messages on Rosoff’s parking space.
