Google said it plans to work with developers in the future to expand its capabilities outside of the home, allowing users to book a auto rental, order dinner or send flowers to a loved one.

Home is built on the Chromecast standard, which lets it push media to other Cast-compatible speakers and screens, change temperature or lighting through Nest devices, and integrate with services like Spotify for music streaming.
