The Israeli military said troops entered Qalandia to demolish the home of a Palestinian who it says shot and killed an Israeli in the West Bank this summer.

Referring to a Friday shooting attack by a Palestinian that left a rabbi and his 18-year-old son dead in the West Bank near Hebron as, as they drove with five other family members, Netanyahu said the perpetrators had been the same.
Aysh was reportedly shot in his head, shoulder, and three times in his back, while Mansara was shot in the shoulder and died from what Yaekob said was blood loss, though medics have not confirmed his cause of death.
An opinion piece published Sunday in an official Palestinian Authority daily newspaper blamed Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency for the deadly terror attacks that rocked Paris on Friday night. Palestinian officials said one Palestinian was taken into Israeli custody.
Hundreds of the Israeli troops broke into the camp, and headed to the house of the Palestinian detainee Mohammed Abu Shaheen.
The Israeli Supreme Court on Thursday paved the way for the demolition of the Qalandia home and four others in the West Bank when it rejected a petition by the owners to block the action.
The raid destroyed an IS command post, a recruitment centre, a munitions depot and a “terrorist” training camp in Raqa, the defence ministry said.
Palestinian gunmen inside of the refugee camp – believed to be affiliated with Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – have opened fire on Israeli forces in at least two instances last month, preventing Israeli forces from carrying out demolitions.
Residents claim that more than 1,000 Israeli troops invaded their neighborhood on Monday morning, taking over rooftops and forcing residents out of their homes at around 2am local time (00:00 GMT).
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers invaded the camp while firing dozens of rounds of live ammunition, and advanced towards the home of Abu Shahin, before wiring the home and detonating explosives inside it.
Mr. Manasra said he had then gone onto his veranda and had seen his cousin, Laith, standing on the roof opposite.
Almost 90 Palestinians have been killed in the recent escalation of violence since the start of October.
Deterrence debate The debate continues in Israel over whether or not demolishing the homes of convicted militants acts as a deterrence.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed condolences and vowed to hunt down the attackers.
Hundreds also gathered as the funeral for the two Palestinians killed began nearby.

While Western media has rightly sympathized with Islamic State’s Parisian victims, the residential neighborhood targeted in Beirut was reduced to a “Hizballah stronghold”, language that effectively legitimizes the attack as one aimed at a military target and sends the message that the men, women and children who perished deserved their fate. Participants were flying the flags of Fatah; of Hamas, the Islamic militant group; and the Palestinian flag. The sounds of gunfire and exploding tear gas canisters could be heard.
