To address this issue, Apple has changed how iOS devices are unlocked in iOS 10.

You most probably aren’t using HomeKit to manage your smart home right now, but Apple isn’t giving up yet. iOS 10 carries with it a new app called Home that’s designed as a friendly way into your different HomeKit devices and settings. Those who tried to update their Apple devices via OTA (Over-The-Air) were the most affected.
WARNING: Before carrying out any update, it is recommended that users back up any their files either onto a computer or in iCloud in order to avoid any data loss during the switch.
We’re still getting to grips with iOS 10 and will continue to share that experience as time goes by! . Early adopters tend to find out about software bugs the hard way.
The good thing is that the problem has been fixed. The tech monster has even described iOS 10 as their biggest iOS release ever, according to Mirror.
At the 24-hour milestone, iOS 10 accounted for 14.5% of all iOS editions detected by Mixpanel, whose metrics platform is widely used by mobile app developers to track usage and user engagement. However, the latest OS has a lot to offer. This way you will not be allowed to exceed the memory allocated for specific apps on your iOS device.
The screen now turns on automatically when you lift your phone. Within minutes of using the phone in the morning, certain issues became very clear-the phone was overheating, there was significant battery drain, apps were freezing and crashing (this included the iPhone’s own default apps) and Wi-Fi connectivity was broken. Instead of the slide up from the corners of the lock screen to access camera in iOS 9, the iOS 10 now has swipe across. Apple has also made a decision to do away with the familiar “slide to unlock” function on the home screen. Feel free to leave them in the comment and we’ll add them to the ever-growing list. iOS 10 is good, but not ideal.
But because of the initial bug, some users are now hesitant to update their devices.
As news of the issues spread online, a number of articles sprung up claiming to quickly solve the issue.

YouTube channel EverythingApplePro, which has performed similar tests before, installed fresh copies of iOS 10 and iOS 9.3.5 on the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE, and looked at how the phones performed in various real-life tests.
