Another change is the breaking news notification, which now appears on lock screen and notification panels. They’ll be able to use an Apple Watch to unlock their computer without having to type in their password.

Separately, US pay TV operator DISH announced that it is launching its standalone over-the-top service, Sling TV, on the latest version of Apple TV device. The new design is highly attractive.
By opening up its messaging platform, Apple will also ask developers to create anything from silly “stickers” to payment programmes within iMessage, ramping up competition against Facebook Messenger.
