Iowa Lottery sees another big year in sales
The biggest prize is saved for last as Saturday’s Powerball drawing features a $110 million jackpot since no one matched Wednesday’s winning numbers of 4, 22, 27, 28 and 52 with the Power Ball of 35. One lucky ticket holder in Illinois won $1 million on Wednesday night, matching all five white balls on their ticket.

The Iowa Lottery has released numbers that confirm earlier projections that sales for the fiscal year that ended in June were going to be among the organization’s best.
Ohio Lottery players have a chance at more than $140 million in jackpots among the lottery’s three biggest games this weekend. It’s the third highest annual sales figure, behind 2006 and 2013 which both exceeded $339 million. “This year we were led by scratch tickets”, Neubauer says. Tipton, who plans to appeal his conviction, denies tinkering with a number-generating computer or soliciting friends to try to anonymously cash the winning ticket. Sales climb rapidly once jackpots begin soaring into hundreds of millions of dollars. There have been 66 straight drawings without a victor since a player won a $3.5 million jackpot February 25. Sorry, you can’t multiply the jackpot prize – but imagine if you could?
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $16.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each, but if you’re feeling extra lucky, pay an extra $1 and your non-jackpot prize will multiply by the Powerplay number drawn that night.

The Iowa Lottery raised $2.2 million for the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund this year and paid local businesses across the state $21 million in sales commissions.
