IPad Air 3 Coming Without 3D Touch? [Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors]
According to a information obtained by Mac Rumours, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for accurate Apple predictions, expects Apple to unveil the new device during the event which is to be held in March next year.

Despite the October refresh cycle in effect for the iPad Mini, Kuo insists that Apple will deter from the normal release cycle and refresh the iPad Air in H1 2016. Having the special feature which was the highlight of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus could lead to problems in satisfying demand.
This is apparently down to “production issues”, according to Kuo, who explained that “3D Touch supply chain capacity use is now lower than the peak level of 30 percent”. Now it looks like the rumors of an upcoming iPad Air 3 are here to stay.
Apple’s iPhone 7 is expected to arrive sooner than usual, with people close to the matter suggesting that the company is looking to release the device earlier in an attempt to get ready for bigger sales in the fall.
The 3D Touch has become an interesting new feature on the iPhone, something that adds a new layer of control that offers new options with the hard press of the app icon on the device. The OtterBox Defender Series for iPad Pro, priced at $129.95, has a built-in screen protector that allows the full functions of Apple’s 3D Touch and second-generation Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Most notably, the 4-inch iPhone 6c is also expected to not come with the 3D Touch feature as well.

The next generation of the iPad Air has been making news lately because of the fact that it will not have the 3D Touch feature. “3D Touch one of the most severe production bottlenecks in iPhone 6s supply chain; current inventory higher than other general components”, the analyst points out. Although reports indicate that the iPad Air 3 might skip the usual 16GB version and jump to the 32GB and the 128GB variants just like what the company did with the iPad Pro.
