With Apple reportedly planning a special media event in March, where the company will likely unveil a new 4-inch iPhone and minor enhancements to the Apple Watch, it’s not outside the realm of comprehension that Apple might also take the opportunity to introduce some new MacBook and iPad hardware as well.

While appearing bearish on the upcoming iPhones and the iPad Air 3, Mr. Kuo is positive about the MacBooks coming in this half.

All in all, the first half of this year is expected to be disappointing, with respect to Apple’s to-be-released mobile devices, while the MacBook’s support revenues and experience the highest growth among all Apple product lines.

With added new functionality in the Maps app, the developer beta release of WatchOS 2.2 was shipped with the capability for multiple Apple Watches to be synced to a single iPhone.

Early last year, it was expected that the iPad Air 3 would launch in the fall, as is usually Apple’s plan with the iPad and has been for the past several years, but it turns out that the company shifted course a bit and skipped the release of the iPad Air 3 in 2015 and instead focused on the iPad Pro.

When it comes to specifications, users can expect that the iPad Air 3 would not be sporting the famous 3D Touch feature found on the iPhone 6s. Kuo mentioned that the production of the said feature was one of the reasons why Apple faced bottleneck issues in the iPhone 6s’ supply chain. In the photography department, it will come fitted with an 8-megapixel primary camera unit along with the 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter. It could come with an A9X processor under the hood, backed by either 2GB or 4GB RAM. The device will only be 5 mm thick and a fingerprint sensor will be embedded on the home button. That’s a decrease of 44.2% quarter over quarter and 29.7% year over year. Cult of Mac suggests that a thinner design would be made possible by a new, smaller battery.
