Target literally broke the internet when it came to Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales.
The biggest shopping day of the year kicked off for many retailers on Thanksgiving the National Retailer Federation estimates more than 30 million Americans shopped on Thursday and more 136 million Americans will shop during this four day shopping frenzy, that’s up from 133 million last year. Most of traffic during our visit was concentrated in the electronics section, Christmas decor section, toys section, & apparel area, which was 40% off all items. Apple Watch was especially popular in stores. The record-breaking sales online were driven by the Apple iPad, the Apple Watch, and the Wii U Gaming console, according to the company.
And Target issued a release in which it said that Apple iPads were top sellers in in its stores and online.

Target’s Thanksgiving holiday sales likely reflect the deals that Target is giving to iPad buyers, rather than a turnaround in sales for the tablet category, which has seen some sharp declines of late.
In the toy aisles, classics like LEGO and Barbie were strong again, as were Star Wars items. Target has also expanded its Curbside Pickup Service that allows one to pick up items or purchases without leaving the auto, which was earlier available at 21 stores, to 121 Target stores.
Beats Solo 2 headphones were one of the top sellers on Target.com and in stores at $96.99 (reg. $199.99).
After Thanksgiving Weekend comes Cyber Monday, traditionally the busiest day of the year for online stores like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).
