The analysis of the iPad Mini 4 confirms Apple’s statements of the product being a compact sized version of the iPad Air 2, but this newer item features in a few exciting options in its hardware, such as a changed element structure.

However, Apple does claim that the iPad Mini 4 has the same battery life as its predecessor. For instance, the FaceTime camera has slimmed down, the battery has shrunk, the LCD and front panel glass are fused together and antennas have been moved both to the top and bottom of the device. iFixit’s full teardown provides additional details on all the nips and tucks in the device. However, iPad Air fans were left disappointed after the company did not announce a new version of its flagship tablet.

Of course, this is a teardown of an Apple product, so iFixit spent most of its time struggling to take the tablet apart, in turn revealing that, like the iPad Air 2, it will be hard to fix .

If money is no object to you and you have the money to blow on the iPad mini 4, then that’s your best bet by far. The latest gadget is 1.4mm thinner compared to the iPad Mini 3.

There are many similarities between the two iPad generations.

It is also possible that with the iPad Air 3, Apple will be targeting a more casual market, so the screen size might stay close to 9.7 inches, but with an upgrade to Force Touch.

After the teardown of the iPad Mini 4, the iFixit team confirmed that the tablet comes with 2GB of RAM. The 64GB and 128GB storage models are priced at $499 and $599, respectively.
