IPad Mini 4 to Get Split View Support

Too many leaked specifications and pictures of smartphones and news of other gadgets have been keeping the tech industry busy these days. Apple formally entered the small tablet market in 2012 with the iPad Mini.

More specifically, Apple is apparently working on a new initiative called the Mobility Partner Program, sources familiar with the matter tell the Wall Street Journal.

The Apple logo is displayed at the Apple Store June 17, 2015 on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

A new report out of Taiwan today says that Apple is not preparing a third-gen iPad Air for release in October, following on from another rumour earlier in the year that suggested the tablet would not be released until 2016.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to bring the iPad to more businesses. It’s likely that Apple is looking to offer business- or vertical-focused app suites to customers for reasonable prices as well, especially since anything that can save business owners time will likely also save them money, which they can then use to buy more Apple products. These companies include accounting firm Xero Ltd., digital cash register company Revel Systems, and more, according to people familiar with the program.

As well as a bigger screen, this enterprise-focused iPad will reportedly feature iOS 9, a USB Type-C port, Touch ID sensor and 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage versions. If we consider these reports right. But all of this leaves the future of the iPad Air in the balance, as an A8X on a smaller tablet will surely do no good for its larger brother. When the company rolled out the iPad mini 3 last year, there was some disappointment with the model and its minimal upgrade, Business Insider noted.

That’s in stark contrast to the new iPad mini. Both additions are expected in the upcoming iPad Pro, and it would only be sensible to see the rationale behind Apple wanting the 12.9-inch iPad model to debut the improvements as opposed to the iPad Air 3. This device has hit the rumor mill multiple times for over a year, but has yet to manifest itself at an event.
