IPhone 6c Coming This Year

Apple’s next iPhone – which is expected to be called either the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 – could be significantly faster than its predecessors, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, according to A9 chip speed tests leaked to 9to5Mac. Well, apparently Apple must have learned a whole lot from the entire iPhone 5c experience if there are rumors of an iPhone 6c flying around, which has been further exacerbated with word that Foxconn has employed more workers in recent times simply to cope with the manufacturing of the iPhone 6c.

Of course this is just another iPhone 6c rumor to add to the pile. The video, available on the company’s YouTube channel, features an iPhone being used to make different Apple Pay purchases. In fact, it’s rumored that the lower-tier iPhone may not be arriving until November.

Echoing ITHome’s report, the German-language Macerkopf also relays that Apple is eyeing September 18 as a launch date for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. The A8 is the same processor that’s in the iPhone 6.

While we cannot be entirely certain that the iPhone 6c is in the works – at least not until Apple spills the beans one way or another – IHS’ Kevin Wang seems to be of the opinion that the aforementioned device will see the light of day by the end of 2015. However, we’re not expecting Force Touch for the smaller device like we are for Cupertino’s new flagship smartphones.

A leak from Taiwan implied that components company AUO will begin to deliver four-inch screens in the first quarter of 2016, which Yahoo takes as an indication “that Apple plans to release the iPhone 7C alongside the other two iPhone 7 models later in the year”.
