Before iPhone 7 reaches India, Apple fans here have another reason to celebrate.

The pre-orders of the new iPhones have already begun. The iPhone 6S (16GB) is available for around Rs 42,000, which is also a Rs 20,000 drop from its original price. The development comes just days after the Cupertino-based tech giant launched the much-anticipated iPhone 7 at its annual event. This gives the handset the same price cut as iPhone 6s. This is for the first time in the history of iPhone, Apple has integrated water-resistant capabilities. Apple will revamp its iPhone 6s series with an option of 32GB and 128GB variants only. Both the iPhones come with 3D Touch and 2GB RAM along with support for 4K videos. The two smartphones also feature faster-second-generation TouchID sensor and are made of tough aircraft grade aluminium, same as Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Under the hood is the new 64-bit A9 chipset that is 70% faster at carrying out processes than the one seen in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at Rs 60,000 and the new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models from Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers.
