Apple has declined to provide sales figures for the watch, its newest product. And it gives us a level of insight into those companies that we might otherwise be lacking. The watch version of one transit app offers bus schedules for your saved locations – even if they are far away – rather than the stops closest to you at the moment, as the phone app does. Apple is nearly begging us to kick sand in its face.
The Apple Watch may or may not be big. The anonymous informant claims that the glass cover for the iPhone 6s is now being produced by volume. “Volumes in the second quarter of 2015 were higher than for the whole of last year, when 4.6 million smartwatches shipped globally”, he said.

As for now, the smartwatch is still a niche market product that has many people questioning why they would want to spend as much as $230, or more, on a watch that’s a smartphone accessory.
