IPhone 7 Buyers Could Overspend By As Much As $1324

In announcing the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple called the new lineup its “best, most advanced iPhone ever”.
We’ve also learned that most Apple retail stores will have very limited or no stock of iPhone 7 units this year.
IPhone 7 and 7 Plus pre-orders are up from past year, but the tenth-anniversary iPhone that’s expected to be released in 2017 might be worth waiting for, The Verge’s executive editor Walt Mossberg said on CNBC’s “Squawk Alley” on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sprint, the iPhone 7 sales this weekend were more than 375% higher than in 2015.
Previously, Apple advised that it was not planning to release first-weekend presale numbers, a data point analysts traditionally used to gauge how big an iPhone launch is going to be. T-Mobile shares fell 1.3% to $45.34, while Sprint dropped 5.2% to $6.56.
T-Mobile says that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus set new records for pre-orders and pre-registrations. However, if you want to get yourself an iPhone 7 Plus, getting the 32GB model would cost you only $120, while trading in your existing iPhone and getting a 128GB iPhone 7 will cost you $100. By 2017, the company could build its new button right into the display. “The entire time I was using the iPhone 7, I felt like I had a prototype of next year’s rumored drastic iPhone redesign disguised as an iPhone 6”, Patel concludes.
There’s also a new accessory-AirPods-which have been far more divisive than the lack of headphone jack so far.

Galaxy Note 7 devices are blowing up left and right, but Samsung is focused on the future. Customers will receive their new iPhones starting September 16. There’s nothing like a little friendly fire to boost the competition.
