IPhone 7 Launches with AirPods Wireless Earbuds According to Report

Apple is reportedly planning on offering wireless headphones as an accessory for the upcoming iPhone 7.

Apple is using the resources of Beats Electronics to develop the new earbuds according to 9to5Mac.

In another report past year, Japanese blog Macotakara stated that Apple will get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone port in the new iPhone 7. This kind of wireless earbud system is still in its early stages, with smaller companies like Skybuds and Bragi pioneering the technology (and the Doppler Labs Here system, pictured above, providing a different twist, by letting you adjust live sound).

It is being said that Apple will be providing headsets that will connect to the Lightning port instead.

The “rumor” also says that the earbuds will come with a noise-cancelling microphone system that would allow the users to make or receive phone calls as well as talk to Siri. “As the design requires twin wireless chips and separate batteries, sub-4-hour battery life without use of the case would be expected”.

“While Apple hopes to launch the new earphones this fall, the hardware is still in development and could be delayed by battery life concerns”, the article states.

Apple hasn’t confirmed anything about the iPhone 7 yet and has not spoken out about the petition going around.

Since the headphones are being related to Bragi Dash, the price point is also expected to be somewhere on the same lines. So, there’s a lot of time for more leaks that should reveal more new iPhone 7 features.

Since Apple acquired Beats, it has released Apple Music and created minor updates to existing headphone products.
