The first Apple customers in New York City to snap the new iPhone 7 off the shelves cheered as they entered its flagship store on Friday (September 16), flanked by applauding sales staff. Earlier this week it issued a statement saying that all iPhone 7 Plus versions and the Jet Black iPhone 7 sold out quickly after going up for pre-order – and they will not be available to walk-in customers, as a result. The iPhone 7 and all iPhone 7 Plus features improved cameras and without the traditional headphone jack in favor of new technology.

The iPhone 7, which is 4.7-inches has a base price of $649, while the iPhone 7 Plus, which is 5.5-inches in size starts at a price of $769.

Just think about how much worse the people who’ve been camping out for the iPhone have it. Fans in Sydney weathered drizzle to line up outside the Apple Store, becoming some of the world’s first owners of the new models. They also have the choice to place an order on the Apple website, which will be fulfilled once new devices are available.

The new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were launched at an event in San Francisco last week.

When Apple said that iPhone 7 sales will be determined by supply and not demand it meant it. Though Apple has released a warning for customers, who will own jet Black variant of iPhone 7, that has not deterred the customers at all. If you’re a proud owner of the iPhone 6S or its plus-sized cousin, you probably don’t need to rush out for the 7. Sadly, it is still not 2915 mAh that you got with the iPhone 6 Plus. On Wednesday, Apple announced they are sold out of all iPhone 7 Plus models and the iPhone 7 in jet black, with no inventory left for stores. Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said in a statement that they appreciate their customers’ patience, and that the company is now working to get the new phones out for everyone who wants one as fast as they can.
