IPhone 7 rumours: Is there going to be a new, smaller iPhone?
The info on the new “SE” naming comes from 9 to 5 Mac, which has heard from sources that dropping the “5” from the name will allow Apple to simplify its branding and marketing, and possibly focus on the “Special Edition” factor.

If this new iPhone is named as version SE then it will be the first non-numbered smartphone from Apple.
Rumors about the Apple iPhone 5SE have been making the rounds for nearly two months now. The iPhone SE is also expected to feature 1 GB of RAM. But recent reports have revealed that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5se will have the same body size to the point that cases designed for the iPhone 5s can fit the iPhone 5se.
The main product expected to hit is a new four-inch iPhone, likely to be called the iPhone SE (or, perhaps, iPhone 5SE or even iPhone 6SE).
Boy Genius Report posted an item titled “Will the iPhone 7 launch be delayed by the FBI’s backdoor request?”, sending shudders throughout iPhone Rumormonger Nation about what this could mean for aniPhone 7 release date in 2016.
The lowest and highest configuration model of the iPhone 6S are now priced at $649 and $849, respectively. But one of the most distinguishable iPhone 5se design features that Apple fans might see upon the iOS device’s release is the repositioned sleep/wake button, which has been placed on the left side of the upcoming Apple iPhone, BGR specifically shared.
Apple’s iPhone SE and new iPad Air 3 won’t be launching on a March 15 event as earlier reports had claimed; instead the event will take place in the week of March 21.
Other than this, a smaller version of the iPad Pro is also expected.

Apple is set to launch its new 4-inch smartphone at the event. Last year’s event introduced the Apple Watch’s availability as well as the new 12-inch Retina MacBook. Both phones support Apple’s 3D Touch technology, Apple Pay and Touch ID’s secure lock, and both have the A9 chip with 64-bit architecture.
