IPhone 7 users hear ‘hissing’ when devices are under heavy load
Stephen Hackett, who blogs at 512 Pixels, shared a recording of his iPhone 7 Plus making a hissing sound as he said it was restoring from iCloud. Some thought it was unusual camera angles, but in Apple’s latest Apple Music promo, we see that familiar missing camera bump creep up again, and this time with the iPhone 7… Judge me as you will, but since 2011, I’ve stood in line for hours to get a new iPhone – partly because I think it’s a little insane and fun on a personal level, and partly because I want to write and report on the newest iPhones for my job. But, since the new iPhones went on sale on Friday, some people have taken to Twitter about two issues they’ve been experiencing. Multiple customers have complained about a hissing noise in the device when it’s working hard. I guess this is Hiss-gate? Users of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus recently reported a disturbing hissing noise coming from their phone when its processor is under serious load. An AT&T staff reportedly conveyed that they received calls expressing the same issue, and a support representative has claimed that the problem may be due to the new iPhone’s SIM tray.

Perhaps what’s more interesting here is that the iPhone appears to have survived the surgery and remained functional.
The iPhone 7 in the video above is an AT&T model with an Intel modem inside. Some have even posted the audio of such noises.

Apple has been pretty quiet on the matter, so we don’t have a definitive answer yet. As of now, it is not clear how widespread the hissing issue is on new iPhone 7, 7 Plus devices. Now, they are finding that shiny Jet Black iPhone 7 is just too susceptible to scratches and abrasions. How about some more R29 goodness, right here?
