With its upcoming release just around the corner, rumors and speculations about the next generation iPhone smartphone from Apple are getting stronger. This follows along with numerous rumors that have been appearing for the past year that Apple would do away with the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack that has been present on the iPhone since the very first model.
The Journal doesn’t mention the price of the iPhone 7, but it’s likely Apple won’t change its pricing structure compared to previous year.
Along with the new iPhone lineup, Apple is expected to release the new Apple Watch as well.
Meanwhile, in a report by Forbes, the new iPhone 7 will also have a new headphone technology called “EarPods with Lightning Connector”.
On the other hand, the Apple A10 SoC will be driving the iPhone 7 along with 2 GB of RAM.
As per the leaked image, the bigger variant of the iPhone 7 is to be named the “iPhone 7 Plus”, with the “iPhone 7” being taken by the 4.7 incher.
The iPhone 6S has a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. In the US, major telecommunications operators sell the unlocked 16-gigabyte iPhone 6s for $649.
The new iPhone is expected to be launch in two models – the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, which is expected to sport high-end features. The Touch ID of iPhone 6S is embedded under its physical Home button.
We are still uncertain as to whether these AirPods will ship with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus within their boxes but there mere existence solidifies the fact that we will no longer be seeing the headphone jack in our iPhones from now on.
