IPhone 8 rumors hint at Edgeless Display and Virtual Button

CEO John Legere said Tuesday morning that pre-orders for the new Apple Inc.

Studio A, an Apple Premium Reseller that has 33 outlets in Taiwan, said that so far it has received five times the number of pre-orders that it obtained for the iPhone 6S a year ago when that model was released. It showed that the first weekend’s results, “shattered all previous iPhone pre-order records at T-Mobile”.

Sprint said pre-orders were up almost four times, compared to past year.

The former is more interesting and relevant to their sales performance, however, and in this case the carrier says that pre-orders “from Friday through Monday” were up almost 400 percent “compared to the next most popular iPhone”.

Today – mere hours before iOS 10 is made available to download – the reviews of the iPhone 7 started to go live. But if one carrier has noted a quadrupling of sales and the other is saying that sales have never been higher, then maybe the iPhone is the more attractive. The two phones might look almost identical to last year’s models, but with updated cameras, faster processors and a missing headphone jack, there are plenty of significant changes to attract potential upgraders.

Record preorders for the iPhone 7 send Apple stock up.

According to the listing spotted by GSMArena.com, the iPhone 7 comes with a 1,960mAh battery, which is a slight increase from the 1,715mAh battery seen on the iPhone 6S.

While pre-registrations have begun, it appears that the “Jet Black” variant, which is only available with 128GB and 256GB variants, is in a pretty good demand.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Given that Apple will not be releasing opening weekend sales for the iPhone 7/7 Plus, investors will be searching for any incremental information that provides color around the strength of this cycle”, White said. That means next year’s iPhone will look like one large display. The 3.5mm audio jack is gone and along with it Apple has already removed the physical home button.
