IPhone, iPad Updates: What To Expect At Apple’s March 21 Event

Past year people were expecting it to come out at the September launch event together with the iPhone 6s and iPad Pro. This is why we recommend getting the iPhone 5S. But will this tablet be a third-generation iPad Air or a smaller iPad Pro?

However, the Cupertino-based company refrained from doing so and the latest reports suggest that the iPad Air 3 might finally see the light of the day in Apple’s March event. The company appears to have set a substantial amount of goals for the upcoming year, as it will also unveil another smartphone version called iPhone SE as well as a new iPad and a renovated Apple Watch. This would be a bit of a shock to everyone given that when it comes to improving something, you never go back to the old styles.

And that’s how you keep people happy: not by forcing them to buy the larger-sized device if they want all the latest features, but by offering the higher spec’d device in both screen sizes. It’s highly unlikely that the iPad mini 5 will be announced anytime soon, and you’ll be waiting until the fall if you decide to wait. Sure, the iPad mini 5 will likely release in 7-8 months, but as we’ve known from recent iPad mini refreshes, the iPad mini 5 likely won’t be a huge upgrade from the iPad mini 4. As aforementioned, Apple has been putting less and less focus on its smaller iPad. I can’t say that the iPad mini 5 will see anything better than this.

The new iPad Pro is expected to replace Apple’s iPad Air and the device is expected to get numerous features of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro.

So we reckon it’s more likely that the resolution on the iPad Air 3 will stay at 1536 x 2048, with a pixel density of 264 pixels per inch. In fact, Apple is moving to flexible circuitry and screen technology. Not very. With Jonathan Ive at the helm, Apple has been converging the design of everything from the iPhone to the MacBook, so it’s surprising to hear the iPhone SE won’t share design cues with the iPhone 6. Zagg makes the ever-popular InvisibleShield screen protector, which is made of a unique military-grade material that essentially makes your iPad’s screen completely scratch proof. Apple’s 4 inch phone will sit at the bottom of the range, and that means Apple needs to differentiate it from its flagship iPhone 6s model.
