Apple has decided that smaller is better, introducing a more compact iPhone and iPad at their latest product event.

Apple is not offering its iPhone Upgrade Program for the iPhone SE. iPhone Upgrade Program is only available for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Apple unveiled their new iPhone SE and iPad Pro during the Apple Event on March 21, and for once, fans were NOT impressed.
The new iPhone SE replaces the 5 series of phones, and while it looks similar, with a four-inch screen and the older, boxier design, its hardware and battery have been improved.
The all new iPad Pro 9.7-inch is priced at Rs 49,990 for the 32GB Wi-Fi only variant, while the 32GB variant with 4G LTE support would cost Rs 61,900.
Apple says the warm tone is more soothing in dark conditions and will not affect a person’s sleep pattern the way staring at a blue color screen may do.
Kiwis can order the new phone from Thursday, 24 March, with availability beginning 31 March.
The SE will come with up-to-date specifications including a 12-megapixel camera and the ability to record video in 4K – for times that of HD.
Apple will begin selling the new iPhone SE at $399 for a 16GB model or $499 for a 64GB model.
“It is a large enough display to get all your work done, but easy to carry around”, said Apple vice-president Phil Schiller.
Apple also today showed off a new iPad, incorporating the power and some of the features of its higher-end larger Pro model, even as tablets are losing popularity with the buying public.
Apple Watch Sport now starts at $299, a $50 price decrease.
Contract-free plans through Sprint Forever, T-Mobile Jump and Verizon Device Payment are not yet available.
The iPad Pro will retail for $599 for its 32GB version, $749 for its 128GB version, and $899 for its 256GB version.
