Iran: As long as U.S. backs Israel, we’ll expand missile program
“We lack enough space in our stockpiles to house our missiles”, said General Hossein Salami, the Guards’ deputy, as a row with the USA over Iran’s ballistic missile programme deepened.

It is hoped that with your support, the range of Iran’s missiles surpasses 5,000 kilometers in near future, said Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei in an open letter to President Hassan Rouhani.
“There has been no interruption in the process of designing and manufacturing defensive ballistic missiles”, the minister underscored.
Some US officials have said the Obama administration reserves the right to sanction Iranian companies and individuals who are involved in the country’s missile program under the nuclear deal.
The top general further underscored that his ministry will keep producing defense gear proportional to threats and supply them to the Armed Forces.
Although Iran’s ultimate authority, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, explicitly endorsed the nuclear accord in October, he warned that new sanctions, under any pretext, would constitute a violation.
Under Resolution 1929, Iran was prohibited from working on ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear warheads. “Iran will not accept any restrictions in this regard”.
“Hundreds of long tunnels are full of missiles ready to fly to protect your integrity, independence and freedom”, he told worshippers in Tehran, promising to never “stop developing our defence deterrent”.
Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement Friday regarding reports of the Obama administration backing away from plans earlier this week to impose sanctions on a number of Iranians and entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program.
The alleged incident comes after Iran and world powers led by the United States agreed a landmark deal to limit the Islamic republic’s nuclear programme in exchange for lifting economic sanctions.

“Implementation day” will happen when the International Atomic Energy Agency verifies that Iran has complied with all of the nuclear commitments included in the nuclear deal. A United Nations Security Council resolution approved in 2010 and would be in invalid when the Iran nuclear deal goes into effect, bans Iran from conducting ballistic tests.
