Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan has arrived in the Russia capital, Moscow, at the official invitation of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to discuss the expansion of military cooperation.
Should the deal go through, Iran will be the first country in the world to produce a variation of the Su-30 fighter jet locally.
“Minister Dehgan is taking a number of the Defense Ministry’s representatives to the Russian capital to meet with their Russian colleagues and other highly-ranked officials”, the source notes.
“The agreement for the delivery of S-300 systems has been finalized over the past months and they are being shipped to Iran”, Ansari told a weekly press conference.
Russian Federation has authorised the delivery of S-300 anti-aircraft batteries to iran, despite the strong oppostion of the Western powers.

“We hope that all countries will pay attention to these issues before taking any action”, Jaberi Ansari said, reiterating that any move to worsen the complicated crisis can have dire consequences. “That [missile program] is Iran’s right”. However, conventional weapons sales can be decided on a case-by-case basis meanwhile.
