He said the Iranian president will be glad to take part in the meeting.
The foreign ministers meanwhile expressed satisfaction of Iran-Russia defense cooperation stressing the necessity to continue the collaboration.
Also on Thursday, the Iranian foreign minister met and held talks with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, during which they discussed bilateral ties as well as regional issues.
The mechanism to set up the foreign ministerial meeting among Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey pursues objectives including exchanging views on trilateral and regional issues on the basis of understanding and ways to strengthen stability and security.
“We will be represented at the meeting”.
Azerbaijan is going to attend the meeting of oil producers aimed at stabilizing the global oil market, the country’s foreign ministry reported Thursday.

Sergei Lavrov, in turn, noted that Moscow hopes that the upcoming Qatar meeting on April 17 will lead to concrete agreements on stabilizing oil markets.
