Iran says missile program is not negotiable

Jaber Ansari did not elaborate on what is being implemented about the new contract.

In March, RIA Novosti news agency reported that Russian Federation would hand over the first batch of the S-300 defense missile systems to Iran in August or September.

Ansari also told the British Guardian newspaper the equipment had not actually been delivered, but rather that the “initial agreement for delivery” has been reached between the two countries.

“The U.S. needs to view regional issues more seriously than raise baseless and threadbare allegations against Iran”, said Zarif.

Israeli efforts to prevent the deal were only successful in delaying the delivery a number of years. “The first delivery will be in September or August”.

According to Perendzhiev, S-300 systems would play an important role in maintaining Iran’s national security because modern warfare is focused on aerial attacks and airstrikes.

Russia’s deal with Iran was first signed in 2007, but was suspended by Russian Federation under pressure from the USA and Israel.

Now and then, along comes an American politician who is so politically blind, intellectually dense and motivated by such unsafe nearsighted goals that it changes the course of world history in the worst possible way – in this case, the development of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles by Iran, an insane hostile regime. Last week, Iran tested and launched ballistic missiles capable of hitting Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East. These missiles were inscribed in Hebrew to read “Israel must be wiped off the face of the Earth”.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided in April 2015 to lift the self-imposed ban on the S-300 missile system delivery to Iran.

In an interview late a year ago, IAF commander Maj. Shannon said the administration is trying to make sure that banks understand what they can and cannot do with and for Iran while remaining in line with continuing U.S. unilateral sanctions.
