Iran says new USA sanctions illegitimate, points to Washington’s arms sales

United Nations experts said in a report in December that the missile test in October violated sanctions banning Iran from launches capable of delivering nuclear weapons.

“The Iranian government has implemented its pledges pertaining to economic promises and is committed to do so”, Rouhani said, vowing to raise the GDP from the current three percent to five percent in the next year.

The officials said they know Iran is not going to dramatically change its actions in the next year or two. The names of the Iranians have not yet been released, the officials said, adding that the four Americans had not left Iran as of late Saturday morning.
