Cengiz, 36, who waited for hours for him to leave the consulate, called on President Trump and the Saudi ruling family for help.

While Washington has said it wants to cut Iran’s oil exports to zero, Iran and Saudi Arabia say that is unlikely.
Iran’s crude exports fell further in the first week of October, according to tanker data and an industry source, as buyers sought alternatives ahead of USA sanctions that take effect on November 4. To reporters, to anybody.
Trump had previously said he was “concerned” about Khashoggi’s fate. “We expect a thorough investigation and total transparency from the Saudi authorities on what happened”. They don’t know over there, but it’s a very serious situation and it’s something we’re taking very seriously.
“At this time, I implore President Trump and first lady Melania Trump to help shed light on Jamal’s disappearance”, Cengiz wrote.
Since Saturday, Turkish officials have maintained that he was assassinated inside the building, but have not provided evidence or spoken on the record.
The US and the United Kingdom have both called on the Saudi government to step up its investigation into the disappearance. “We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as available”, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a statement.
Associated Press This image taken from CCTV video obtained by the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet and made available on Oct. 9 claims to show Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul Oct. 2. Turkish officials fear the team killed Khashoggi, who wrote critically of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Vice President Mike Pence expressed fresh concern Wednesday over the case Wednesday, saying “violence against journalists should be condemned” and that the US may be prepared to send Federal Bureau of Investigation officials to help investigate the case.
Asked if Khoshoggi was dead, Trump responded: ‘I hope not’. I received an answer that further fuelled my fears: Jamal had already left, they told me, possibly without my noticing.
“The Saudis have a lot of explaining to do because all indications are that they have been involved at minimum with his disappearance”, Corker told AP.
Two companies in India, a big buyer of Iranian oil, have ordered barrels in November, India’s oil minister said on Monday.
The prince denied as “absolutely false” any suspicion that Saudi agents might have detained or killed Khashoggi, and contended it was “outrageous” to think he might have been “murdered in the consulate, during business hours, and with dozens of staff and visitors in the building”.
The official described a quick and complex operation in which Mr. Khashoggi was killed within two hours of his arrival at the consulate by a team of Saudi agents, who dismembered his body with a bone saw they brought for the goal. Khsashoggi was a prominent critic of the Saudi regime.

TRT World can only independently verify one of these claims as being accurate, according to a Turkish security source. The Post noted that the footage has been edited, and that timestamps are of questionable accuracy. The report states that a team of 15 Saudi flew to Istambul aboard private jets shortly before the incident.
