“Disappointing” Arsenal lacks physical presence, feels Vieira was posted in Sports of TheNews International – https://www.thenews.com.pk on August 22, 2016 and was last updated on August 22, 2016. Now coaching the New York City Football Club, in the MLS, he also pointed out the dearth of ex-Gunners on the coaching staff of the London club.
“If we can find players who can strengthen our team, we are not reluctant to spend the money”.
“I enjoy watching Arsenal play now”, he added. “To buy good players is a quality”.
“In our generation we had some fantastic players with the ball but the majority of the players were quite physically strong”.
Arsenal travel to the East Midlands having beaten Leicester home and away last season, but they still finished 10 points adrift of the eventual champions, and Wenger believes Claudio Ranieri’s surprise winners can mix it at the top of the table again this year.
While Giroud might be back against Leicester on Saturday, Wenger said he thinks Sanchez could also provide a long-term solution to what has become a problem position for the Gunners.
Petr Cech was the only significant arrival ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, with Mohamed Elneny joining in January from Basel.
He said: ‘Now when I watch Arsenal, yes they play good football.
Pitarch said: “We’re above the FFP guidelines, that’s the reality, and as of today, the four players we’ve signed can not be registered, meaning we need to reduce the cost in a significant manner to register the players and sign a centre-back, which is a priority in case one of the ones at our club leaves”. He’s being really courageous not bringing in players who don’t fit the system he wants to play or aren’t of the value he seeks.
“I think it is worth to try as he has the quality to go behind”, Wenger said about the Chile forward, who has mainly been used as a winger since joining Arsenal from Barcelona two years ago. Not to forget as well that we are a club who has 600 employees who we need to have a responsible attitude for as well. Asano isn’t even getting in the Arsenal first team this season due to work permit issues, so he won’t be improving us in any way, shape or form.

While it may be a cliché to say Arsenal have at times lost games in recent years they would have won had they had more aggressive players in their team, it is telling that a player such as Vieira, who has such a great knowledge of the game, is now echoing these concerns.
