Ireland Trade Surplus Climbs In June

For July, Indonesia had a trade surplus of around US$590 million, below analysts’ US$800 million surplus forecast.

Figures released yesterday by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show that seasonally adjusted goods exports increased by 5 per cent, or €413 million, to €9.6 billion compared with May.

The trade surplus rose to Euro 4.5 billion in June from Euro 3.7 billion in the preceding month.

Exports of semiconductors, cars and oil products reduced 2.7 percent, 12.7 percent and 10.4 percent respectively, with those for ships, auto parts and display panels sliding 43.1 percent, 10.7 percent and 26.5 percent respectively. Exports slumped 10.1 percent from a year earlier to 282.6 billion dollars during the January-July period, with imports sliding 13.4 percent to 226.1 billion dollars.

On a non-adjusted basis, the eurozone’s trade surplus was EUR29.2 billion in June, compared with EUR25.5 billion in June previous year. At the same time, imports declined by 8 percent from May to Euro 412 million.

Export to the United States was recorded to be the highest compared to other countries with US$0.99 billion, followed by China with US$0.92 billion and Japan (US$0.82 billion).
